Mesmerizing Mashobra

1

A very beautifuland mesmerizing place Mashobra, nestled 20 kms uphill Shimla amidst the pinewood, Deodars and Apple >and Cherry orchards at a height of around 2200 m. Mashobra and its pristine location offer you a very valuable Travel experience of life. Mashobra a part of Shimla Reserve Forest sanctuary and catchment area is a perfect tourist destination for visitors to enjoy the vacations with family. I had bought a package from To Travel Is To Learn which proved to be a good decision. Wind Flower Hall, Carignano, Mahasu Devta Temple, Kufri, and Reserve Forest Sanctuary are the famous tourist attractions of the city.

mashobra trekkingThe picturesque view of the hills and its beauty is really enchanting. The drive uphill is through narrow stretches of hardly 5 m wide that gives you pure jungle-drive thrill. The beauty around is enchanting and soul-relieving, which also houses a variety of medicinal flora and endangered bird and animal life like leopard, and hornbill etc. The natural vegetation comprises pine, oak, cedar or Himalayan deodar, and rhododendron, as well as maple and horse chestnut.
The wildlife consists of monkeys, baboons, jackals, kakkar (barking deer), and the occasional leopard, as well as numerous bird species such as the Himalayan eagle, pheasants, chikor and partridges. At about 4 km from Mashobra is Carignano, a beautiful picnic spot that was a villa of Chevalier Federico Peliti, an Italian photographer in India from the times of Queen Victoria, who named it in honor of his native town Carignano in Italy.
Mashobra is one of the leading destinations in India where the climate remains pleasant all year round. The visitors get opportunities to indulge in various startling activities such as Flying Fox, trekking, Rappelling, Burma Bridge and also to absorb the natural beauty and panoramic views of the place.

Being a traveller, First went there last October followed by last April, but can’t resist now going to this place time and again.

sincere thanx to ‘To Travel Is To Learn’ for an an unforgettable tour to Shimla-Mashobra as we experienced never before.
